Practical Nursing Program
A post-secondary program that prepares students to pass the Licensed Practical Nurse licensing exam and enter the nursing profession or to continue their education.
The Practical Nursing Program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (3343 Peachtree Road, NE, Suite 500, Atlanta, Georgia, 30326) and approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Flexible timing options
- 12-month full-time program allows you to enter the job market on a fast track.
- Classes start in September and December at the Coatesville site.
- 23-month part-time evening program allows you to continue work while you attend school.
- Classes begin in May 2010 at the Coatesville site.
- Four day per week full-time program option at our West Grove satellite site.
- Classes begin in November 2010 at the West Grove satellite site.
Hands-on experience
- Over 700 hours of clinical experience are provided.
- Clinical rotations begin early in the program.
- Clinical experience runs concurrently with classroom instruction.
Clinical experience is required in many areas, including:
- Maternity
- Mental Health
- Pediatrics
- Gerontology
- Rehabilitation
On-site rotations are provided in cooperation with facilities such as:
- Chester County Hospital
- Brandywine Hospital
- Pocopson Home
- Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital
- Crosslands
- Veterans Administration Medical Center
- Community Care Organizations

Virtually all of our graduates seeking employment find job placement in Chester County and the surrounding area.
Smooth transition to RN degree
Credit toward completion of an RN program is available at local colleges and nursing programs.
