Chester County Academic Competition

Sponsored by Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union

Now in its 30th year, the Chester County Academic Competition provides an opportunity for students from twenty four (24) high schools to compete in a "college-bowl" format where students answer challenging questions from a variety of categories including literature, math, science, American and world history, geography, and contemporary events.

The nine teams accumulating the highest number of points in a series of four preliminary matches during the 2013/14 season will compete in the semi-final matches on February 7, 2014 (snow date: February 10).

The winner of each of the three (3) semi-final matches will then compete in the championship match on March 13 (snow date: March 17). The Chester County champion will represent the Chester County Intermediate Unit in the Pennsylvania Academic Competition that will take place on the floors of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and the Senate in Harrisburg, PA on May 2, 2014.
