Chester County Academic Competition

Now in its 31st year, the Chester County Academic Competition provides an opportunity for students from twenty four (24) high schools to compete in a "college-bowl" format where students answer challenging questions from a variety of categories including literature, math, science, American and world history, geography, and contemporary events.
All teams, seeded based upon their cumulative performance in four preliminary matches during the 2014/15 season, will compete in the semi-final matches on February 11, 2015 and February 27, 2015. Downingtown East, Unionville and West Chester East competed in the championship match on March 17. Final score: West Chester East – 140; Downingtown East – 110 and Unionville – 85. West Chester East High School will join the reigning state champions, Downingtown East High School, to represent the Chester County Intermediate Unit in the Pennsylvania Academic Competition that will take place on the floors of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and the Senate in Harrisburg, PA on May 1, 2015.
