An Educational, Fun, and Informative Career Development Opportunity for Girls in grades 6-12, featuring:
- Keynote Speaker: Emily M. Liggett, Award Winning Engineer and Entrepreneur
- Live Hook-up with Johnson Space Center and Girls Attending GETT
of Wyoming, and GETT of Philadelphia
- Hands On Hardware Activities
- Interactive Simulations
- Break-out Sessions Explore Technologies, including: bio-technology, health care technology, robotics, and much more
During the GETT program, students will have the opportunity to attend various technology and science workshops and to speak with women who are leaders in their careers.
This year's keynote speaker is Emily M. Liggett, President and CEO of Apexon, Inc. based in San Jose Callifornia. Breakout sessions for girls, also presented by successful women in technology, will follow Ms. Liggett's address.
Parent sessions will feature discussion time with Emily Liggett and a seminar in career development.
Admission is free.
Check-in begins at 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. with light refreshments available. The fast-paced program begins with the keynote presentation at 10:00 a.m., followed by assigned breakouts, lunch, more seminars and a closing session at 2:30 p.m. that will feature grand prize drawings.
