Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Day, April 5

Bring unwanted hazardous household automotive products, home maintenance, lawn and pest control products to the Center for Arts & Technology Pickering Campus on Saturday, April 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for proper and safe disposal.

To determine if waste is hazardous, look for these words on the container:

  • Caution
  • Toxic
  • Danger
  • Flammable
  • Warning
  • Corrosive
  • Explosive
  • Reactive
  • Combustible
  • Poisonous
  • Hazardous

Please do not bring the following materials:

  • Latex (water-based) paint
  • Ammunition
  • Appliances (excluding for computers)
  • Radioactive waste
  • tires
  • Infectious waste
  • Unidentified waste
