The Teacher Center is a full-service facility that provides teachers with the opportunity, materials and equipment to make instructional materials for their classrooms. The Teacher Center is a gold mine of ideas and materials.
We also provide a hands-on educational technology exploration area, technology workshops, and experienced trainers on staff for teachers to learn about new and innovative classroom technologies.

Full-Color Poster Printing and CD/DVD Duplication
We have a new HP color plotter that will enable us to print your full-color posters up to a size of 28 x 40 inches. A digital file or scannable image is required for this service. See the "Full-Color Poster Request Form" below for sizes and pricing.
We also have a new CD/DVD duplicator and label printer. This new technology allows us to duplicate and print full-color labels on up to 50 CD's or DVD's at one time. For copywritten materials, we require written permission from the originator in order to complete your duplication order. See the "Media Duplication Request Form" below for details and pricing.
Discovery Schools/United Streaming Video on Demand
We have exciting news! CCIU has entered into an agreement with Discovery Schools providing access to the Unitedstreaming video-on-demand web site to all of our county districts. As part of this agreement, all Chester County public school teachers and students will have access to over 4,000 videos and 19,000 digital images available through Unitedstreaming! The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) is now providing access to the award-winning search engine, netTrekker d.i., at no cost to your school or district.
Quickly access standards-based web content organized by grade level, subject area, and reading ability. Every netTrekker d.i. website is evaluated by educators so results are safe and relevant to your research. Every student, educator, librarian, parent, as well as those enrolled in or providing instruction in teacher preparation programs in the state of Pennsylvania are granted access to this wonderful research tool. COSTS AND SCHEDULING
Usage Fee
There is no charge to Chester County public school teachers for materials and supplies used while visiting the Teacher Center. There is a $25.00 materials fee per day per teacher for non-public school teachers and for non-Chester County public school teachers. Gift certificates and non-member passbooks are available.
Non-Member Passbook
The Teacher Center is now offering a Non-Member Passbook for the reduced price of $100. By purchasing the passbook, you will receive 5 entrance coupons (regularly priced at $25 each) to be used at the Teacher Center. This will be a savings of $5 per visit, or the equivalent of one FREE visit. Please see a Teacher Center Assistant for details and to purchase your passbook.

*If the first Saturday of the month falls on a holiday weekend, the Teacher Center will instead be open on the second Saturday.

In the event of inclement weather conditions, the Teacher Center will follow the Chester County Intermediate Unit closing procedures. If the IU has any delay in opening, closes for the entire day, or closes early due to weather conditions, then the Teacher Center will do the same. If the IU remains open, then the Teacher Center will also.

If the weather begins to worsen while you are here during the evening, the assistant on duty has the authority to close the Center early. We are concerned for your safety and ours. We would prefer everyone not have to drive on treacherous road conditions if it can be avoided.
