Representatives from nearly 300 colleges nationwide meet with students and their parents at Chester County's premiere college fair hosted by the Chester County Intermediate Unit.
2009 College Fair details
- Monday, November 16, 2009 - 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
High school students and their parents will be able to meet with representatives and talk about admission requirements, campus life, scholarships, tuition and undergraduate programs of study.
Colleges that will be represented include schools as far away as the Purdue University, Iowa State University, and the University of Notre Dame, and as close as West Chester University. Other schools at the fair include the University of Pittsburgh, St. Joseph's University/Academy of Food Marketing, Franklin and Marshall College, as well as the Florida Institute of Technology, Main Line Models and Penn State University. In addition, representatives from the Armed Forces will be available to discuss a career in the military.
Also, representatives from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) will be at the fair to provide information regarding financial aid.
The College Fair is sponsored by the guidance counselors of Chester County and organized by the Chester County Intermediate Unit.

Reaching Innovative Career Heights
Goal: To educate students and parents regarding sustainable careers for the future, thus building a robust workforce and encouraging business growth in Chester County.
Starting at 7:00PM and throughout the evening of the College Fair, the Reaching Innovative Career Heights event will provide an innovative program to educate the upcoming workforce and region regarding careers driving the economy.
Short presentations will provide the straight facts regarding supply/demand, starting salaries, and career paths in Biotechnology, Energy, Health Care and Technology related jobs.
Locally employed young professionals will interact casually with the attendees in the large exhibit hall and small groups.
