Progress Monitoring
Progress monitoring is the seven step process outlined by the Department of Education which includes writing measurable annual goals, developing data collection tools, and the process for collecting and evaluating the data as well as systematically communicating student progress to IEP team members.
The progress monitoring consultant provides support for the implementation of progress monitoring procedures and data evaluation.
The progress monitoring consultant provides services to whole staffs or individual education professionals in the following areas:
- Progress monitoring procedures and tools including software alternatives
- Early intervening strategies and data collection procedures for at-risk students
- Observation and consultation regarding various types of data collection
- Assistance with team planning for specific students
- Supported data teaming
