What is the Fit in 50 Days Healthiest School District Challenge?
At the Chester County Intermediate Unit, our most important asset is our employees. As such, we are committed to the health and wellness of you and your family. We want to encourage you to lead a healthier lifestyle and make healthier choices. You now have the opportunity to participate in several wellness initiatives including the Fit in 50 Days Healthiest School District Challenge.
The Fit in 50 Days Challenge is a collaboration among the Chester County School Districts and Activate Chester County. In addition to the county-wide challenge, there is a competition between CCIU locations - CAT Brandywine, CAT Pickering, CDC/Head Start/Operations, ESC, DEC and “All Other Locations.”
For 7 weeks, from April 1 through May 20, employees who elect to participate in this challenge will log their minutes of physical activity or number of steps per day on their “Personal Fitness Tracker.”
At the end of the 7 weeks, two districts will be declared winners: the district that has logged the most minutes of exercise, and the district with the highest percentage of participation. Winning districts will be announced on May 30.
