HOW THE QUARTER AUCTION WORKS
- Each Consultant will have 4 Auction Items as follows: Plus See Below
- Prizes with a retail value of $10-$24 will be auctioned for 1 Quarter Bid
- Prizes with a retail value of $25-39 will be auctioned for 2 Quarter Bid
- Prizes with a retail value of $60 or more will be auctioned for 4 Quarter Bid
- As each guest arrives, they will either have their ticket/coupon already for their 2 Paddles; or will pay at the door and receive one paddle. The Guest will receive the appropriate number of Paddles paid for with a Number on it to correspond to a Number on a Chip. The Chip will be put into a bin to be pulled by the Auctioneer. The paddles will be used by the Guest for bidding. Additional Paddles will be sold at the door for $1.00 each.
- As we show each item for our bidding, if the guest wants to bid on this item, the guests will put the correct number of Quarters into the container on their table and raise her bidding paddle. If a guest has more than One Paddle, they must put the appropriate number of Quarters into the container Per Paddle they choose to use... The rules will be announced throughout the event by the Auctioneer. The quarters will be collected by the consultants assigned to the tables. If a guest chooses Not to bid on an item, she leaves her paddle on the table and if her number is called, she must respond “NO BID” – A new number will be pulled until there is a winner for that item. All the chips will be put back into the container for the next item. For example, if an item is auctioned off for a 1 Quarter Bid, and a guest has 2 paddles, she will have a better chance bidding her 2 paddles to win, but will need to put 2 Quarters in the container—1Quarter for each paddle in play.
- All guests will be asked to fill out a Door Prize Slip at their table during the beginning of the auction. ONLY those slips that are Completely Filled out by the Guest will Win A Door Prize. Guests need to be present to win a Door Prize.
- 50/50- will be sold at the Auction to Benefit the Organization. Tickets for the 50/50 will be sold at $1.00 Each or 7/$5.00. The winner will be called shortly after intermission, once the money is counted.
- Golden Paddle- Tickets for the golden paddle will also be sold at $1.00 ea or 7/$5.00. A winner of the golden paddle will be drawn before each round. The person who wins the golden paddle does not have to pay quarters to bid with that paddle!! A Golden Paddle will not be raffled off for the $1.00 round.
- Also, the vendors/consultants will be offering items on their table for Cash & Carry! Food will be available for sale. We want this to be a Fun time out for all, so anyone is welcomed. It is a Networking event for our vendors and a Fundraiser for the Organization. We do encourage the guests to bring lots of quarters with them, but there will be quarters available to change out.
