CPE featured workshop: Engage ALL Students through Differentiation, December 1
Inclusion can work, if teachers are prepared with practical methods and strategies for differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners. In this session, presenter Anne M. Beninghof will share a simple approach to differentiation, based on research, that can be used across grade levels and content areas. But more importantly, participants will learn dozens of creative instructional strategies that work for struggling students, gifted students, and all the students in inclusive classes!
About the presenter: Anne M. Beninghof, an internationally recognized consultant and trainer, has more than 25 years of experience working with students and teachers. She has been a special education teacher, faculty member of the University of Hartford and the University of Colorado, has published several books and videos, and has provided staff development training in 49 states. Anne has also collaborated with numerous state agencies to bring about inclusive practices. Recently, Anne decided to follow her heart and return to the classroom, where she works part-time with teachers and students who are struggling with the learning process. In both her presentations and writings, Anne focuses on creative and practical solutions for including students with diverse learning needs in general education classrooms.
