Downingtown, PA - From digital movies to web page design to multimedia presentations, Chester County middle and high school students displayed their high tech skills at the 2008 Pennsylvania Regional Computer Fair at the Chester County Intermediate Unit.
Over 100 middle and high school students competed at the Chester County competition. First place winners will advance to the Pennsylvania State Computer Fair in Carlisle, PA in May.
Students demonstrated their technology skills in one of eight categories, including: animation, digital movie, text-based desktop publishing, multimedia presentation, computer fair logo, graphic design, curriculum based Web page, and information-based Web page.
Projects are evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges comprised of representatives from industry, education and government.
Each student entry is accompanied by a project summary, which includes project objectives, vision, overall purpose, and a list of the software applications and additional equipment needed to complete the project.

The Pennsylvania High School and Middle School Computer Fair highlights the computer software and hardware skills and knowledge of students throughout the commonwealth. The goal of the competition is to increase understanding of how standard desktop applications can be used to unleash creativity, convey information dynamically and enhance learning.
