AAIDD promotes progressive policies, sound research, effective practices, and universal human rights for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The “Roadmap” was launched in September 2014 by the Center for Autism Research (CAR) at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania. It is the most comprehensive resource for autism services and information in the Philadelphia region. Only those providers that support evidence-based care are included. The site is regularly monitored to make sure all providers and information are up to date. It includes interactive features designed to tailor information to fit the ages and stages of individuals with autism. Timelines help parents understand what to anticipate as their children grow older and where to find the information or guidance they need at each stage.
