Even Start

Even Start program is a family literacy program. Services are provided through a combination of center-based and home-based components. Primary services include:

  • adult education,
  • early childhood education,
  • parenting education, and
  • Parent And Child Together (PACT) activities.

A family unit qualifies for Even Start services if there is a child between the ages of birth and eight years and a parent eligible for Adult Basic Education. These services are offered in the Avon Grove and Kennett Consolidated School Districts only. There is no fee for this service.
