The Teacher Resource & Technology Center is a full-service facility that provides teachers with the opportunity, supplies and equipment to make instructional materials for their classroom. The center also offers a wide array of instructional technologies that staff members are able to demonstrate and provide basic instruction in strategies for integrating these technological resources into the curriculum.

The CCIU hires individuals with bachelor's degrees on emergency teaching certificates to substitute in classrooms throughout the county. Candidates receive three days of formal training prior to entering the classroom.

Teaching in the 21st Century provides Pennsylvania educators a comprehensive professional development program designed to enhance classroom practices through effective technology integrations. The curriculum incorporates the National Educational Technology standards and guides teachers as they enrich their lessons designed to meet Pennsylvania academic standards.
Modules are available as a complete program or as independent programs. We strongly recommend Module 1 and 2 are completed prior to Modules 3-6. A variety of formats are also available for these programs: half-day; full-day; and on-line.

Telecommunications offers several components that cover a wide array of services.
The telecommunications specialist provides:
- Design services for telephone systems
- Voice messaging
- Structured cabling
- Telephone consultation for new construction

Telephony systems operations and administration provides day-to-day operation and administration of the telephone, voicemail, and cabling systems.
In addition, consulting services include audits of telecommunication invoices for:

Therapeutic Education Advancing Children's Horizons (TEACH) Program

The TEACH program provides a therapeutic setting that addresses the academic and mental health needs of students. A comprehensive in-take process is required, which includes psychiatric recommendation.
The primary goal of this program is to enhance the psychological well-being of students who are experiencing such emotional stress and disequilibrium that they are unable to adjust to the demands and situations inherent in the regular school setting.
Health and support services provided in the basic program include:
- Psychological and psychiatric assessment and
consultation
- Mental health counseling (individual and group)
- Parent advocacy
- Behavior management

Title 1 Institutional

This program provides remedial services to students in institutions located throughout eastern Pennsylvania. Students are classified as neglected or delinquent and are placed in the institutions by the courts and social service agencies. The intermediate unit assists institutions in developing and implementing remedial reading and math tutoring programs.

Transitional Living Program

The Transitional Living Program is an apartment-based community integration program. It serves students with disabilities during their transition to adulthood.
