In
the school-age program, the Speech/Language program provides specialized
instruction as
mandated on the student's individual
education plan. Speech/language clinicians assist students in remediating
or compensating for speech and language deficits that affect the student's
educational process. Regular educators are provided with strategies
for working with students with speech/language deficits.
In addition to
speech/language support as specialized instruction, speech and language
evaluations are available as a separate service, and include the
evaluation and a written report. Follow-up consultation and
participation in special education program planning can also be
provided.
