Varsity Semi-Final Results

The nine teams with the highest cumulative scores from the four preliminary rounds of matches competed in the semi-finals held on February 2, 2010.

In the first match, West Chester Rustin (135 points) defeated Downingtown East (80) and Great Valley (65). West Chester East (95) emerged as the winner of the second match over Devon Prep (90) and AVon Grove (55). In the third match, Conestoga (140) toppled West Chester Henderson (80) and Downingtown West (65).

West Chester Rustin, West Chester East and Conestoga will advance to the championship match on March 11 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Chester County Intermediate Unit. The winner of this match will represent Chester County in the PA Academic Competition in Harrisburg on May 7.

The championship match will also take place on March 11 for the Junior Varsity teams. Competing in this match will be Conestoga High School, Unionville High School, and Devon Preparatory School.

The championship matches can be seen through live streaming on the CCIU television network www.cciu.org/site/default.aspx?domainid=88 on March 11 beginning at 7 p.m.

Championship Results

The Varsity championship match on March 11 at the Chester County Intermediate Unit produced exciting and hard-fought action. West Chester Rustin High School emerged as the 2010 champion. They will advance to the PA Academic Competition on May 7 in Harrisburg.

The match featured West Chester Rustin (115 points) , Conestoga (100 points), and West Chester East (75 points).

The JV Championship was won by Devon Preparatory School with 90 points. Conestoga took second place with 85 points and Unionville had 70 points.

Congratulations to all the teams for their great performances throughout the year.
