Pre-apprenticeship programs are a learn-and-earn model that provide access to career opportunities by opening doors for further training and advancement. We are pleased to currently offer two pre-apprenticeship programs: Build Your Trade Pre-Apprenticeship Program and Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship Program. Learn more about each program below!

Build Your Trade Pre-Apprenticeship Program (10th grade students)
The Build Your Trade Pre-Apprenticeship program is open to 10th grade Carpentry, Electrical Occupations and HVAC students at all three TCHS campuses. It is a three-year program where students can earn industry certifications and 72.5 hours of credit towards a registered apprenticeship program after graduation. To receive the state-registered, nationally recognized pre-apprenticeship credential, students must maintain TCHS enrollment, be in good standing with their program with regular attendance and task list completion, uphold a minimum of 2.5 GPA until graduation, complete three years of training with their current CTE program and complete a minimum of 20 on-the-job training hours in construction projects.

Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship Program (11th & 12th grade students)
The Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship program is open to 11th and 12th grade Carpentry, Electrical Occupations, HVAC and Electromechanical Engineering students at all three TCHS campuses. It is a one-year program that provides students with the opportunity to explore high-demand STEM careers before graduating and entering the workforce. Students can earn OSHA 10 certification and 64 hours of credit towards a registered apprenticeship program after graduation. To receive the state-registered, nationally recognized pre-apprenticeship credential, students must attend all Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship classes, maintain TCHS enrollment and be in good standing with their CTE program.
