Understanding “The Performance Cliff” | How to Manage and Prevent It

"The Performance Cliff" is a psycho-educational phenomenon that occurs in the gifted population, whereas a student will be performing exceptionally well until somewhere between 6th and 9th grade and then suddenly begin to struggle. This presentation will explain why students in the gifted population experience this phenomenon and what can be done to prevent it.

Matthew Zakreski, PsyD, is the founder of The Neurodiversity Collective. Dr. Matt, as many call him, is a high-energy, creative clinician who utilizes an eclectic approach to meet the specific needs of his clients. Dr. Matt has presented across the country and internationally.
