Session

  • Facilitated by Katherine Dahlsgaard, Ph.D., ABPP

This session is part of the Countywide 2024 School Nurse Conference.

In this four-hour presentation, Dr. Katherine Dahlsgaard - longtime specialist in pediatric anxiety and eating disorders - will address the *why* but also provide detailed, evidence-based strategies for how to manage and help these children be brave and return to/stay in their classrooms (when they should!) in ways that are both developmentally appropriate and compassionate.

Dr. Dahlsgaard will also cover strategies for working collaboratively with parents, teachers and even administrators to help these Frequent Flyers land safely back in classroom settings where they can learn and thrive. Lots of case examples and time for questions.
