CCIU is phasing out faxing wherever possible, encouraging the use of email instead. Please email documents you were intending to fax to the appropriate CCIU program/department email address or individual employee email address.
CCIU email is secure and suitable for HIPAA/FERPA and any other confidential information. Regardless of obsolete guidance that you may have heard in years past, Internet email is completely secure when sent and received using modern, properly-configured mailservers, including all major providers such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail/Outlook.com, Office 365, etc.
If you have any concerns about emailing confidential information, please contact the CCIU IT Networking/Infrastructure department at NetworkSupport@cciu.org
for more information. We can provide documentation on email security specifically as it applies to your organization's email server as proof that email between your organization/provider and CCIU is secure. If the unlikely event that your organization's email server is not properly secured, CCIU IT Networking/Infrastructure experts will assist your technical personnel in securing it, which has benefits far beyond the replacement of faxing.
If you must fax information to CCIU, please contact the program/department or an individual CCIU employee by email or phone to obtain the proper fax number.
