    Gifted Services That Positively Impact Student Achievement

    Fully Online (30 PIL Hours) 

    This course will examine the legal responsibilities of school districts to support gifted students through the exploration of Chapter 16 regulations and timelines, gifted service delivery options of acceleration and enrichment, mediation and due process procedures, and gifted case law. Various screening and identification protocols will be investigated to determine the appropriateness of various assessments in determining giftedness.

    Technology Leadership that Increases Student Achievement

    This course is based on the recognized work of Consortium for School Networking (CoSN). The course incorporates two resources: Become a Highly Capable School System Technology Leader; and the Framework for Essential Skills of a CTO. Administrators will explore three big ideas (Leadership & Vision, Understanding the Educational Environment and Managing Technology & Resources) and focus on five key concepts (Leadership & Vision, Strategic Planning, Instructional Focus & Professional Development, Team Building & Staffing, and Communication Systems) as they review research on the link between technology leadership and student achievement.
