  • Foundations in Business for School Leaders

    In partnership with DeSales University, this course is designed to increase student achievement by providing school leaders with business competencies such as leading change, leading people, driving results, building coalitions, and building the school as an educational business in order to make positive impacts on school culture, teaching, and learning.

  • Social-Emotional Learning Leadership

    The goal of the Social Emotional Learning Leadership program is to
    increase academic achievement, success in college and careers, and
    student safety and well-being by integrating Social Emotional Learning
    into K-12 academic content, practices, and policies. The effectiveness of
    this integration and its impact on student academic achievement is well
    researched and documented. Educational Administrators and Teacher
    Leaders will experience, learn, and explicitly implement Social Emotional
    Learning into their school buildings and school districts.

    Danielson's Framework for Teaching Clusters (FFT Clusters) describe skills demonstrated by teachers promoting high levels of student performance and are grounded in an understanding of how students learn. The FFT Clusters distill the big ideas of the Danielson Framework's 22 components into an efficient tool that can serve as the foundation for many purposes, most importantly professional growth by teachers, not only through their own reflection on practice, but also through their conversations with administrators, instructional coaches and colleagues.

  • Technology Leadership that Increases Student Achievement

    This course is based on the recognized work of Consortium for School Networking (CoSN). The course incorporates two resources: Become a Highly Capable School System Technology Leader; and the Framework for Essential Skills of a CTO. Administrators will explore three big ideas (Leadership & Vision, Understanding the Educational Environment and Managing Technology & Resources) and focus on five key concepts (Leadership & Vision, Strategic Planning, Instructional Focus & Professional Development, Team Building & Staffing, and Communication Systems) as they review research on the link between technology leadership and student achievement.

  • Gifted Services That Positively Impact Student Achievement

    This course will examine the legal responsibilities of school districts to support gifted students through the exploration of Chapter 16 regulations and timelines, gifted service delivery options of acceleration and enrichment, mediation and due process procedures, and gifted case law. Various screening and identification protocols will be investigated to determine the appropriateness of various assessments in determining giftedness.
