CCIU Hosted Professional Learning

    1. Prototyping & App Design: Help develop your students' entrepreneurial and computational thinking skills! This session will provide an asynchronous learning experience where participants will prototype, design their own apps, and engage in computational thinking practices related to bringing these types of learning experiences to their students.

    2. Learning AR/VR: The days of PowerPoint and poster presentations will be irrelevant once you inspire your students to create in the worlds where they play to demonstrate their learning. Guide your students to create their own worlds, museums, games, and more. Learn how to transform student learning by taking virtual field trips and challenging students to create in three-dimensional space.

    3. Creating Interactive Lessons with STEM Simulations: Engage your students in hands-on learning through virtual simulations! During this asynchronous learning experience, participants will experience virtual lab experiments, STEM simulations, and tools to have students create their own simulations.

    4. STEM & Literacy For K-5 Educators Together, we will examine the intersection of STEM and Literacy through the design thinking process. Participants will complete preparatory activities asynchronously then experience the design thinking process as we read children's books and think through ways to incorporate STEM in literacy.

    5. Video Production & Design for the STEM Classroom: Unleash student creativity and independence while building communication skills necessary for future careers through video production. During this asynchronous learning experience, you will explore ways to foster a culture of storytelling in your classroom that will engage all learners through different aspects of filming, editing and sharing video.
