This session will focus on some research foundations of psychological (especially cognitive and academic) tele-assessment, as well as details for conducting these kinds of assessments remotely. The research presented will be geared toward helping decision-making for tests and types of measures used. A great deal of attention will be focused on setting up tele-assessment sessions, checklists to ensure that the psychologist is prepared and has adequately prepared the family of the student being evaluated, and how to engage during and be ready to alter actual testing sessions in order to produce valid data. Time will be available for question-and-answers at the end of the presentation.
