Data ServicesThe Chester County Intermediate Unit formed a data governance team in May 2021. The team consists of four members who have over 35 years of combined experience in PIMS, Child Accounting, and State/Federal compliance reporting. With experience in a variety of student information systems (SIS) and devotion to working in the Pennsylvania Information Management System (PIMS), our team has the expertise and insight to assist your LEA in optimizing efficiencies and useable output. From initial system orientation to customized consulting, CCIU works to help you achieve your data governance goals.

CCIU proudly offers video and media services for a wide variety of needs for local and regional educational institutions, small governments, and non-profit organizations. Whatever your needs may be, our goal is to partner with you and deliver the highest quality product. 

CCIU Video Production Process

While the production process will vary based on each project’s unique needs, this four-step guide below will give you an overview of what to expect during each stage. These steps typically require six weeks to complete; however, the time frame can be adjusted. 

Immutable Backup Service

The surge in cybersecurity incidents is reaching unprecedented levels with educational entities emerging as high-priority targets. Essential to any organization's robust cybersecurity strategy is the integration of secure and immutable backups. In a strategic collaboration, the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) has joined forces with Rubrik to deliver a professionally managed immutable backup service.

The Chester County Intermediate Unit offers a variety of technology consultation services ranging from audits, student information system studies, and technology planning.

Internet Services

Access to reliable network services is a vital part of any organization's infrastructure. CCIU employs experienced network infrastructure architects that are dedicated to maintaining and designing complex networks for schools, government agencies, and non-profits. 

Chesconet is a diversified non-profit organization that provides fiber optic wide area network connectivity, including Internet access, to more than fifty regional schools, libraries, government entities, non-profit organizations, and businesses. Members have the added benefit of quarterly Chesconet users-group meetings to learn about anticipated network improvements and maintenance.

Chesconet members have the opportunity to purchase CCIU's Managed Immutable Backup Service which includes Rubrik, a leading ransomware and disaster recovery system that is protected through the hardened Chesconet network. Chesconet members who subscribe to this data protection service have the added benefit of additional discounted pricing and quarterly Rubrik users group meetings to share experiences and learn about anticipated developments.
