Chester County Champions of Education Awards Launches to Celebrate Local Educators and Staff

The Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU), in partnership with Chester County Regional Educational Services (CCRES), is proud to announce the launch of the Chester County Champions of Education Awards, a new recognition program celebrating the educators and staff who make a lasting difference in schools across the county.

These awards bring together all 12 Chester County public school districts, the CCIU, and CCRES in a unified celebration of excellence. Nominations open on October 1, and the honorees will be celebrated at an awards ceremony on March 14, 2027, at The Desmond in Malvern.

"Every day, teachers and staff across Chester County are doing outstanding work with our students, often without recognition,” said CCIU Executive Director Dr. George F. Fiore.

“The Champions of Education Awards give our community a way to say thank you, together, as one county. This program will build a new, shared tradition of excellence that every district can be proud of."

The program recognizes exceptional contributions across three categories. The Champion of the Classroom award recognizes an outstanding Chester County educator whose direct instruction and dedication to students make a lasting difference in the classroom. The Champion of Service award recognizes an outstanding Chester County staff member whose dedication, professionalism, and behind-the-scenes contributions help schools and students thrive. The Champion of CCRES Award honors a CCRES staff member whose dedication brings out the best in their students and their school. The program's goals are to elevate excellence across Chester County, ensure equitable recognition for both teachers and support staff, and establish a sustainable annual tradition.

“Champions of Education is an opportunity to honor the outstanding staff members across Chester County’s school districts who make a direct impact in classrooms every day,” said Matt Przywara, Executive Director, CCRES. “It is important that we recognize these true champions and show them how much they are respected, appreciated, and valued for all they do to support students, schools, and communities throughout Chester County. CCRES is proud to serve as the lead sponsor and to partner with the CCIU in celebrating their contributions.”

The Chester County Champions of Education Awards is coordinated by the CCIU and is sponsored by CCRES Educational and Behavioral Health Services. To learn more about the awards, visit https://www.ccchampionsofedu.org/
