    PA Department of Labor High Priority Occupation!
     
    The Automotive Service Technology program provides a hands-on approach to developing automotive maintenance, repair and installation skills. Students develop team concepts that will help them in the workplace. The NATEF-certified program also emphasizes customer service and proper etiquette in a service economy.

    Program Concentrations:

    • Automotive electrical and electronics systems
    • Brake repair and installation
    • Drive train and engine performance
    • Heating and cooling systems
    • Hybrid vehicle design and maintenance
    • Suspension and steering systems
  • Career Options:

    You can start out as an entry level service technician, but with education and experience, you can also become a parts manager, business owner, master technician, service advisor or service manager.

    Upperclassmen may be hired at local companies such as: Phillips & Auto Performance, East End Automotive, PennDOT STEP, New London Auto Repair, C.J. Tires, Bavarian Motorsport and Thomas Chevrolet. Co-ops allow students to work during their school day, earn real-world experience and build their resumes.
