A Message from BVA's principal, Mr. Chip Harper
Welcome to Brandywine Virtual Academy!
Brandywine Virtual Academy (BVA) is an online program provided through the Chester County Intermediate Unit. BVA is a great place to educate students in an online or blended setting, and it creates customized and individualized learning solutions maximizing student interest, student voice and student choice. BVA serves the needs of district partners, students and parents across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
BVA offers a comprehensive approach to education for learners in grades Kindergarten through grade 12, offering courses through four main vendors: Odysseyware, Edgenuity, eDynamic and Accelerate Education. Through our partnerships with these vendors, BVA offers a wide array of electives, Advanced Placement courses, Dual Enrollment options through Harrisburg Area Community College and NCAA approved courses for student athletes.
BVA cares about your student's success. Our 21 Pennsylvania-certified teachers, three student support liaisons and 10 teaching assistants work collaboratively to ensure that students are prepared to meet the vast challenges presented in the age of 21st Century Learning.

Mr. Chip Harper
Mr. Harper serves as the supervisor of online learning and BVA principal at the Chester County Intermediate Unit. He has been a dedicated and visionary educator, administrator and supervisor for 20 years, and has been working in the cyber education field since 2004. This is Mr. Harper's 6th year leading BVA's online learning community of students and their families. In his role at BVA, Mr. Harper focuses on student success and learning by working with teachers, staff and district partners to customize the learning program to meet the needs of every student and parent.
Mr. Harper received his bachelor's of elementary education and bible studies from Cairn University and his master's in educational leadership from the University of Scranton.
