About
The goal of the Curriculum Best Practices: Quality Curriculum Alignment and Assessment course is to increase academic achievement by examining curriculum mapping and maintenance practices through the lens of the intended (written) curriculum, the enacted (taught) curriculum, and the assessed curriculum. The effectiveness of this integration and its impact on student academic achievement is well researched and documented. Educational Administrators and Teacher Leaders will experience, learn, and explicitly implement best curriculum practices into their school buildings and school districts.
Participants will: Read and reflect on the Ensuring High Quality Curriculum text, explore the critical elements of a curriculum map, examine their organization's existing curriculum documents through the lens of the intended (written) curriculum, the enacted (taught) curriculum, and the assessed curriculum and apply the information learned creating a curriculum management plan.
Completion requirements: Create a curriculum management plan for your school or district that demonstrates achievement of the identified leadership standards.
