Data ServicesThe Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) established its Data Governance Team in May 2021, uniting four professionals with over 35 years of combined experience in the Pennsylvania Information Management System (PIMS), Child Accounting, State/Federal compliance reporting, enrollment practices, and so much more. Our team brings expertise in a variety of Student Information Systems (SIS) and a strong commitment to supporting Local Education Agencies (LEAs) across Pennsylvania. In addition to data systems orientation and customized consulting, we specialize in enrollment practices, Child Accounting data and evaluations, and Special Education data compliance. We also provide targeted support to Special Education data coordinators to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Our comprehensive services include full-service PIMS reporting, full-service Child Accounting management, data quality reviews, audit preparation, data compliance management, training workshops, and coaching LEAs data coordinators in the areas of PIMS, Child Accounting, Special Education data, and enrollment. Data Governance ConsultingCCIU knows accurate and quality data requires a team effort. A PIMS administrator cannot do it alone. CCIU will assist your LEA in setting up a Data Governance team.

This service includes:

  • Identification of data owners for each PIMS template and field
  • Confirmation of team comprehension of PIMS calendar and manual
  • Identification of where the SIS data is entered
  • Instruction to data owners how to enter data
  • Development of a data standards manual

The DQN is a statewide organization of education professionals working and learning together to optimize the governance, quality, and application of data.
