Pennsylvania Scholastic Esports League (PSEL) is the North American Scholastic Esports Federation (NASEF) affiliate for Pennsylvania and is led by the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU).
We provide:
esports tournaments
scholastic esports competitions
professional learning for coaches and teachers
STEM and career readiness related esports events for students, teachers, and families
School and community-based organizations can join PSEL. Coaches can register via this form.
Please note that most PSEL activities are for high school teams. We hope to expand this to middle school teams soon.
OUR GOAL
Our goal as an affiliate is to connect students to college and career readiness opportunities through esports. CCIU and PSEL are passionate about providing equity-based career opportunities to all students in Pennsylvania through esports.
ESPORTS BENEFITS
There is a growing trend of young students playing video games competitively and an increasing need for STEM & computer science skills in the workforce. While participating in esports that include educational activities and concepts, students can also build vital STEM and teamwork skills that prepare them for future college and career paths. Esports also allows for inclusivity, as students of all abilities can join school teams and tournament play.
