Chester County Science Research Competition

  • Out of an abundance of caution, and at the Governor’s request, the Chester County Science Research Competition originally set for March 17 and 18 is postponed until further notice. We will attempt to reschedule once the pandemic has passed.

At this time, there are 22 presumptive cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Pennsylvania. We are working closely with the Chester County Department of Health and our school districts to implement their recommendations and to ensure the health and safety of our students, staff and partners. In addition, we are in constant communication with our member school districts, partners and community to ensure that we are all working together to maintain a healthy and safe school environment throughout Chester County.

We apologize for the disappointment that this process will bring to our students and event participants. We take pride in hosting special events that offer our students and the community exciting learning experiences, and we enjoy interacting with students throughout the county. However, our top priority has been, and will always be, the safety and security of our students. As such, we are following the advice and guidance of Governor Tom Wolf and others to postpone all non-essentialgroup events.

We will remain vigilant regarding the ongoing situation and will notify you of any additional changes to our strategy to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We have also created a page on our website to gather information for our community, at:

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at: or (484) 237-5098. Thank you for your understanding.

    Students at the science fair

Join us for the 32nd annual Chester County Science Research Competition (CCSRC)! Over 500 aspiring young scientists annually turn out for the competition.

We believe that students are the foundation of our nation's future. Their understanding and accomplishments in science and technology will prepare them to become the leaders of tomorrow and successful citizens in our technologically advancing society.
