2020 Chester County College Fair
Representatives from 230+ colleges nationwide meet with high school students and their parents at Chester County's premier college fair hosted by the Chester County Intermediate Unit. Students and their parents meet with representatives and talk about admission requirements, campus life, scholarships, tuition and undergraduate programs of study. Colleges, universities, technical schools, trade schools, and the armed forces will all be represented.
This year, students with all abilities and their parents are invited to attend Transitioning Beyond High School from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. During this early hour event, students and parents will be able to hear from and meet with colleges that have programs for those with all abilities. Topics such as the following will be discussed: the difference between entitlement versus eligibility when accessing college resources, what programs schools offer for those with disabilities, Intellectual Disability (ID) categorization, receiving a certificate versus receiving a four-year degree and living and transportation accommodations.
The College Fair is organized by the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) on behalf of the guidance counselors of Chester County.
Participating Institutions: Information about registration and accommodations will be available in the near future.
