    The parent mentor provides directsupport to parents and assists districts in programming that meets theneeds of parents and students, including:
    • Parent consultation on special education regulation and rights
    • Training and support for parent networks
    • Consultation and training on IEP meetings and functional behavior assessments
    • Assistance with effective home-school partnerships
    • Customized training for parents and educators
    • Links to additional resources

    • B.S. in Elementary Education from St. Joseph University
    • M.Ed. in Instructional Systems (Program Design and Training) from Penn State University
    • Special Education certification from Immaculata University
    • Dually certified in elementary and special education K-12
    • Teaching experience K-8 and adults
    • Experience in all aspects of Instructional Design
    • 15 years experience providing Parent Consultation and Training
    • Parent of four children who have been through the education system, including:
      • One who received Multi-disability Support
      • One who received Emotional Support for two years
      • Two who received Gifted Support

    Consulting, training, and workshops are offered at no charge to Chester County school districts through funding from IDEA.
