Details:When we talk about health, we can’t just focus on physical health without recognizing whole health. You have to see the whole person and make use of the tools and resources that benefit minds and bodies together. That's why since 1949, May has been observed as Mental Health Month. In support of these efforts, the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) is proud to host a free course that includes a screening of the film “Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age” followed by a panel discussion.
The filmmaker’s goal is to probe into the vulnerable corners of family life to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through poignant and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists and brain scientists, “Screenagers” reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance. The program is free and open to the public and is suggested for children ages 10 and older. Register at www.cciu.org/screenagers.
