Geo-Spatial Information Systems & Data Science (GIS)

Geo-Spatial Information Systems (GIS) refers to information systems that allow for the integration, analysis, storage, editing and sharing of different types of data. This data is then brought together using sophisticated technology to present a more holistic picture of a particular geographic region. Students in this program will be exposed to cutting-edge data analytics practices through the use of industry-grade technology at West Chester University.

Join us at our Open House

Learn more about the new TCHS Geo-Spatial Information Systems & Data Science (GIS) program held in partnership with West Chester University! The Open House will take place on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at West Chester University Graduate Center, Room 126 (1160 McDermott Dr, West Chester, PA 19380). This senior-only program will allow students to explore and gain hands-on experience with the integration, analysis, storage, editing and sharing of different types of data. This data is then brought together using sophisticated technology to discover complex patterns and visually represent the relationship between unique sets of data in space. 

Students and parents will have the opportunity to explore the state-of-the-art equipment that students will use in the program, meet with TCHS representatives to learn more about the program and learn more about the college credits and industry experience the students can take away from this program.
