We want to bring to your attention an important security update regarding the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU), Educational Service Center (ESC). Effective Monday, November 6, 2023, the main door to ESC will be locked at all times. We will continue to welcome guests and visitors to our location via a call box that connects visitors with front desk staff and allows front desk staff to grant visitors access to the building.  All visitors, other than CCIU staff and CCIU students with ID badges, will need to sign-in and wear a visitor badge.

As an organization, our top priority has always been and will continue to be the safety and well-being of our staff, students and guests. Locking the front door of the ESC is not just a precaution; it serves as a signal to our visitors that we are fully committed to prioritizing safety and security.

We understand that this measure may lead to some minor inconvenience.  We kindly request your understanding and cooperation during this transition.  CCIU staff can help by having their CCIU badge on and visible when entering the building, and at all times throughout the day.

Please share this change with any guests you may invite to ESC and be prepared for potential delays when arriving as we work diligently to address any initial issues and streamline the entry process.
