The Chester County Intermediate Unit is pleased to offer a new LETRS 3rd edition cohort beginning in August 2021.
Beginning in the fall, LETRS(Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) Third Edition Parts I and II, focusing on Word Recognition, will be available at CCIU as a CPE course or for Act 48 hours.
The last chance to register for Part I of IV is Monday, July 26, 2021!
The course begins on August 31, 2021.
Part I of IV
August 2021 to January 2022
Fees: $384 for 40 Act 48 hours, $434 for 3CPE credits, 180 Act 48 hours
Fees include the following central learning tools for the course:
the LETRS 3rd Edition Volume 1 manual
a year’s access to the online learning platform
Part II of IV
Spring 2022 by invitation only for those who completed Part I.
Fees: No cost for 40 Act 48 hours only, $50 cost for 3 CPE credits, and 180 Act 48 hours.
Learning tools from Part I will be used in Part II
Please note that course materials are non-refundable and non-transferable and that each participant must have their own text and online platform license.
Course format: Kickoff meeting plus four half days of training after school while completing the online assignments asynchronously.

FYI: the previous edition of LETRS (2nd edition) is still available until June 2022 and is still an option if you are considering fully live LETRS training for multiple grade levels in your building or district.
