Early Care and Education Center

The Early Care and Education Center provides a nurturing environment in which infants, toddlers and preschool children play, learn, and develop. This program is located at the Educational Service Center in Downingtown, and operates year-round, from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Early Head Start - Home Based Option

Early Head Start serves families from pregnancy through transition to Head Start (approximately age three) with a 90-minute home visit per week. The home visits include education for the young child and support for the parent to be successful as their child's first teacher. Additionally, children receive health and development screenings to ensure their development is on target.  Families are invited to socializations at least twice per month, allowing families to build supportive relationships with other parents within their community. Families throughout Chester County are served in their community.

Working families with children between the ages of birth and three are provided with full time child care at a high-quality center, including provision of meals and diapers. Families work with a family advocate to ensure they have access to any services that will support family goals. Centers are conveniently located in Coatesville, West Chester, Lionville, Frazer, Pottstown, Norristown and West Philadelphia.  
 
Emotional Support – Chester County Technical College High School

Emotional Support programming provides academic and emotional support for students with special education needs. Small group academic instruction in core content areas and individualized behavioral approaches encourage students to find success in their academic classes and technical programs of choice. 

The primary goal of this program is to increase the basic academic, social, and behavioral skills necessary for students to be successful in their community and choice of post-secondary outcomes.

Emotional Support - Child & Career Development Center

The Emotional Support program at the Child & Career Development Center provides academic and emotional support for students. Students receive instructional and emotional support to improve social and behavioral skills, group interaction skills, improvement in behavior regulation and remediation in planned courses. Classes are provided for students 5 to 21 years old.

The primary goal is to increase social skills development so that students are able to function appropriately in school and in the community.

English Learners (ELs) are provided English Language Development (ELD) instructional to develop their listening, speaking, reading and writing English skills. ELD teachers support ELs as they work to achieve success in their classes and to adjust to the social and academic demands of learning in an English-speaking classroom.
